Why Choose Fine & Dandy for Your Aussiedoodle?

When you're searching for Aussiedoodles for sale, you'll find puppy mills, broker sites, and large breeding networks. We're different.

All Parent Dogs Live On-Site Unlike large breeding operations that use guardian homes, every one of our parent dogs lives with us on our farm.

You can meet mom and dad, see where your puppy was raised, and ask us anything about their health history and temperament.

We Specialize in F1 Mini Aussiedoodles Only We don't breed a dozen different doodle varieties. Our entire focus is on producing exceptional F1 Mini Aussiedoodles—a 50/50 cross between a Mini Australian Shepherd and a Moyen Poodle. This specialization means we know this breed inside and out.

Dandy Manners Training Included Every Fine & Dandy puppy comes with our proprietary early training program. By the time your puppy comes home at 8 weeks, they've already been introduced to crate training, basic commands, handling, and early socialization. You're not starting from scratch.

Direct Communication with Owner Laney When you work with us, you work directly with me—Laney. No call centers, no sales teams. I personally match families with puppies, answer your questions, and stay in touch long after your puppy goes home.

7 Acres of Free-Range Living Our dogs aren't kenneled—they spend their days exploring our 7 fenced acres, swimming in our creek, and playing together as a pack. I'm with them from morning feeding at 6am through evening playtime. This active lifestyle produces healthier, happier puppies with better temperaments.

What is an Aussiedoodle?

An Aussiedoodle (also called an Aussiepoo) is a cross between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle. This designer breed combines the intelligence and trainability of both parent breeds, creating a loyal, energetic, and highly trainable companion.

Why Aussiedoodles Make Great Family Dogs:

Based on my experience raising dozens of litters, here's what I consistently see in our puppies:

  • Intelligence: Both Australian Shepherds and Poodles rank among the top 10 smartest dog breeds. Our puppies typically learn basic commands within the first few training sessions—I've had 8-week-old puppies reliably sitting on command before they go home.

  • Low to Moderate Shedding: While not completely hypoallergenic, our F1 Aussiedoodles typically shed significantly less than purebred Australian Shepherds. The curlier the coat, the less shedding you'll see.

  • Athletic & Active: Aussiedoodles love hiking, swimming, running, and playing. They're perfect for active families—our parent dogs join me on daily creek walks and never seem to tire.

  • Loyal Companions: Often called "velcro dogs," Aussiedoodles form strong bonds with their families. My own dogs follow me from room to room and want to be wherever the action is.

Mini Aussiedoodle Size & Temperament

Based on measurements from our actual litters, our F1 Mini Aussiedoodles typically mature to:

  • Weight: 28-40 pounds (our girls tend toward the lower end, boys toward the higher)

  • Height: 18-19 inches at the shoulder

  • Lifespan: 12-15 years with proper care

Temperament: Our Mini Aussiedoodles are consistently smart, affectionate, playful, and eager to please. They do best in homes where they'll get daily exercise and mental stimulation—these are not couch potato dogs. If you want an adventure buddy who'll learn tricks, go hiking, and snuggle at the end of the day, you've found your match.

Our Aussiedoodle Breeding Program

At Fine & Dandy, we breed exclusively F1 Mini Aussiedoodles. Here's what that means for your puppy:

F1 Generation: First-generation cross (50% Mini Australian Shepherd, 50% Moyen Poodle). F1 puppies benefit from "hybrid vigor"—the genetic advantage that comes from crossing two purebred lines.

Health-Tested Parents: All of our parent dogs undergo comprehensive health testing before entering our breeding program. We test for common genetic conditions in both Aussies and Poodles and can share specific results with approved families.

You're welcome to meet our parent dogs in person at our farm in Canton, NC, or schedule a Zoom call to see our property and ask questions.

Robin Leonard, D.C.

"We have had our aussiedoodle for almost 3 weeks now and we are completely in love. He is the absolute sweetest, kindest and smartest dog. I stumbled upon Fine and Dandy by accident one day, but after spending some time watching the instagram reels, then speaking with Laney via Zoom, I had complete confidence that we were getting a quality dog from a quality breeder. She has been responsive since the day I made contact and was spot on in the characteristics of the dog we chose. We could not be more pleased."

It’s obvious the puppies are members of a wonderful family before they get to their forever homes. I would recommend Fine and Dandy and definitely use them again in the future".
