WHAT MAKES OUR MINI AUSSIEDOODLE PUPPIES DIFFERENT

Look, there are a lot of Aussiedoodle breeders out there. So let me tell you exactly what you're getting when you choose Fine and Dandy.

Health Tested Parents — No Exceptions

Every single one of our parent dogs has full genetic testing for 200+ health conditions. We don't cut corners on this. Ever. You'll see the results before you put down a deposit because transparency isn't optional around here.

The Dandy Manners Program

Your puppy won't just be cute. They'll come home already started on basic manners, crate training, and socialization. We call it our Dandy Manners program, and it means your first week at home is way less stressful than you're probably imagining right now. We spend 8 solid weeks of daily handling, exposure to household sounds, and positive reinforcement training.

1-Year Genetic Health Guarantee

We stand behind every puppy that leaves our home with a 1-year genetic health guarantee. In over a decade of breeding, we've never had to honor it. That's the kind of confidence genetic testing gives you.

Lifetime Breeder Support

Puppy questions? Teething issues? Not sure why your Aussiedoodle is giving you the side eye? We're here. Always. Our families become part of the Fine and Dandy community for life.

OUR F1 MINI AUSSIEDOODLES — SIZE, TEMPERAMENT, AND WHAT TO EXPECT

An F1 Mini Aussiedoodle is a first-generation cross between a Miniature Australian Shepherd and a Moyen Poodle. The "F1" means first generation, so you're getting 50% Aussie and 50% Poodle. No doodle-to-doodle breeding here. Just the best of both worlds, straight from the source. Why does that matter? F1 crosses benefit from something called hybrid vigor, which means a wider gene pool and generally healthier puppies. It's nature doing its thing, and we love it.

How Big Do Mini Aussiedoodles Get?

Our Mini Aussiedoodle adults typically weigh between 28 and 35 pounds and stand about 18 to 19 inches tall. They're the perfect size. Big enough to keep up on hikes and adventures, small enough to curl up in your lap at the end of the day.

Mini Aussiedoodle Temperament

Honestly, their temperament is the real reason people fall in love. Aussiedoodles are wicked smart. Some folks call them "Einstein dogs" because they pick up commands almost embarrassingly fast. They're also what we call Velcro dogs. They want to be wherever you are. Kitchen? They're there. Bathroom? Yep, there too. They're fantastic with kids, great with other pets, and they thrive in homes where they get plenty of attention and mental stimulation. If you're looking for an independent dog that's happy being alone all day, an Aussiedoodle probably isn't your match. But if you want a best friend who's genuinely excited to see you every single time you walk through the door? You're in the right place.

Coat Colors Available

One of the most exciting things about Mini Aussiedoodles is those coats. Our puppies come in Blue Merle, Red Merle, Black Tri, Black Bi, Red Tri, Red Bi, and Parti colors. Every puppy is completely unique, and we won't lie — picking your favorite color is one of the hardest parts.

Are Mini Aussiedoodles Hypoallergenic?

Most of our F1 Mini Aussiedoodles have low-shedding coats thanks to their Poodle genetics. While no dog is 100% hypoallergenic (anyone who tells you that is stretching the truth), Aussiedoodles are about as close as it gets. Their coats range from wavy to curly, and the curlier the coat, the less shedding you'll typically see.

HOW TO BRING HOME A FINE AND DANDY PUPPY

Ready? Here's how it works. And don't worry, we make it easy.

Step 1: Fill Out Our Puppy Application

It only takes a few minutes. We ask about your home, your lifestyle, and what you're looking for in a puppy. No judgment. We just want to make sure we're matching the right puppy with the right family.

Step 2: Let's Chat

After we review your application, we'll schedule a phone call or Zoom meeting. This is the fun part. We get to know you, answer all your questions, and talk about which upcoming litters might be the best fit.

Step 3: Reserve Your Puppy

Once we've found your match, you'll place a deposit to reserve your spot. We keep our waiting lists intentionally small. Our mamas typically whelp 6 to 8 puppies per litter, and we leave 2 or 3 spots open so families have flexibility if their preferred gender isn't available.

Step 4: Puppy Updates

This is where it gets really fun. We send regular photos, videos, and updates as your puppy grows. You'll feel like you know them before they ever come home.

Step 5: Gotcha Day

You can pick up your puppy right here at our farm in Canton, NC, or we can arrange a convenient airport pickup. We also work with trusted ground transport for families across the country.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT MINI AUSSIEDOODLE PUPPIES

Does Fine and Dandy have any puppies available?

Go to our Instagram page on the website, you do not need to be an Instagram follower to be able to view recent puppies.

With the busy life and as fast as puppies grow and change. We now have connected our Instagram page to our website. These pages also automatically connect to Facebook too. Social media is a large part  of updating our future and past puppy families of what is happening with our Fine and Dandy Lifestyle. We post daily either videos or pictures. You will be able to be up to date on puppies and pregnancy as well as training videos and just good old fun!

Many puppies have already been spoken for by others who have been on the waiting list. We do keep space open on our lists and try not to fill to capacity to allow others to move from one list to another and to be able to NOT have a long duration of waiting for puppies.  If you are interested in JOINING THE F.A.D.A.  family and getting on a waiting list for a future litter, read on to the next question.

We take great care in studying genetics and choose to breed the best Australian Shepherds and Poodles to produce beautiful, healthy puppies who are smart, fun, and well-rounded.

When you receive your puppy he or she has had 8 weeks of constant human contact. He (or she) will also already have their first set of puppy shots, including an additional parvo shot, and will be microchipped.

In addition, he's had daily physical therapy for healthy movement and for proper socialization. During this time he's had a special high-quality dog food, along with mama's milk, to support strong bones and muscles. Our approved dog food brands currently include Life's Abundance (All Life Stages), Solid Gold (Hund-N-Flocken is great but any flavor except salmon is good), and Kinetic Performance (Power 30k).

What is the downside to Aussiedoodles

Real talk? They're smart. Like, almost too smart sometimes. If you don't give them enough mental stimulation, they'll find their own entertainment, and you might not love their choices. They also get really attached to their people, which means they can develop separation anxiety if left alone for long stretches. They're not a "leave them in the yard" kind of dog. But if you're here reading this, you're probably not that kind of owner anyway.

What health problems do Aussiedoodles have?

Like any breed, they can be predisposed to certain conditions like hip dysplasia and some eye issues. That's exactly why we do  genetic testing on every single parent dog. We're screening for 200+ conditions to make sure we're not passing preventable issues to our puppies. It's non-negotiable for us.

What is the difference between F1, F1b, and F2b Aussiedoodles?

You're looking at 12 to 15 years of love, adventure, and probably some stolen socks. F1 Mini Aussiedoodles tend to be especially healthy thanks to hybrid vigor. We've got Fine and Dandy alumni out there living their absolute best lives well into their teens.

What is the deposit and how do I get on the  waiting list?

Fill out the Puppy Application.

Once it's submitted and we read through it, we'll set up a phone call or zoom to chat about the puppy and your home. We ask for you to read and sign our policies, you'll leave your deposit, and officially choose your preferred mom and be added to the list.

Part of the process is to get to know a little more about each other before any money has been collected. We look forward to hearing from you to learn out your puppy needs.

The deposit amount is $500. This secures you a place on the waiting list, and it is refundable until your  litter of choice had been born, however it can be transferred to another litter, if for some reason you aren't ready for the puppy at that time.

Why do pups with blue eyes cost more?

It has a lot to do with genetics and breeding stock. Simply put, it's difficult to achieve dogs with blue eyes when breeding, which makes it more rare. We're proud of all our pups and are excited to see what the eye color is when the puppies have grown into their adult eye colors.

There is no way to tell what the eye color truly is until the pup is about six months old; however, if at six weeks the pup has sky blue or ice blue eyes, they usually keep a blue eye. Aussies with their variety of coat and eye colors are always full of surprises!

Are Aussiedoodles high maintenance?

They do need regular grooming — plan on a professional grooming appointment every 6 to 8 weeks, plus brushing at home a few times a week. And they need exercise and mental stimulation daily. But honestly? Most Aussiedoodle owners don't see it as "maintenance." It's just life with a dog who actually wants to hang out with you.

Are Aussiedoodles good house dogs?

Absolutely. In fact, they prefer being inside with their family. They're clean, they're smart enough to housetrain quickly, and they genuinely want to be wherever you are. Our Mini Aussiedoodles are the perfect size for apartments and houses alike

What should I feed my Aussiedoodle puppy?

We raise all of our puppies on Kinetic Performance dog food and recommend continuing with it when your puppy comes home. We'll send a starter pack with every puppy so you don't have to worry about the transition. We also provide a complete nutrition guide with feeding schedules based on your puppy's age and weight.

Can I move over to different waitlists?

YES. At Fine and Dandy Aussiedoodles, we try not to fill up our waiting lists to capacity. Our dogs whelp around 6-8 puppies per litter, leaving available spots open (2-3 spots per litter). This helps our clients move to other litters if their sex preference of puppy was not available in their chosen litter. It also creates availability for puppy adoption for those who may have lost their pet or finally have the right living condition to have their long awaited puppy. We try our best to not prolong the puppy process. Dogs are pregnant for 9 weeks and then are  available for homes  8 weeks of age at the earliest.  We post our litters 6 months out. We do have some clients that want to plan further in the future and will be place on litters further out to accommodate our clients needs. Preparing and Planning are the best characteristics of a great puppy parent. Our bustling pregnant times for our moms are March and August. This is when more of our beautiful moms will go into season. We do have some that will be a on different cycles in the year and may have puppies available at different times throughout the year.

Building a Positive FADA Family Network

Our desire to build relationships with our clients also separates us from other breeders. We love staying in contact with our Fine and Dandy Families. We strive to create a community where we all learn from each other and celebrate with each other. We are here for our clients and pups every step of life’s journey, from Fine and Dandy puppy to Fine and Dandy senior dog.

Our network of Fine and Dandy Families is like an extended family or a group of friends who can reach out at any time to ask questions, share photos, and even have meet-and-greets!

One way we build our community of Aussiedoodle lovers is by having an active online presence. We offer educational and fun content via blog posts, web pages, videos, and social media posts. Our FADA families and others who follow our accounts love our how-to videos and informational blog posts with actionable steps.

Do Aussiedoodles bark a lot?

They can be vocal, especially the Aussie side of the family. But it's usually alert barking (someone's at the door, there's a squirrel being suspicious). With proper training and socialization, which our Dandy Manners program starts, most Aussiedoodles learn when barking is appropriate pretty quickly.

How long do Mini Aussiedoodles live?

You're looking at 12 to 15 years of love, adventure, and probably some stolen socks. F1 Mini Aussiedoodles tend to be especially healthy thanks to hybrid vigor. We've got Fine and Dandy alumni out there living their absolute best lives well into their teens.
