TRAVEL TO NORTH CAROLINA

Travel Options

There are several options to choose from when deciding how best to get your puppy home. They are:

1. Picking up the puppy at our home, their birthplace, in person. We are located in Canton, North Carolina, in the western part of the state about 30 minutes from Asheville, NC.

2. Meeting us at either the Asheville, NC or Knoxville, TN airports. We are located in the upper west corner of North Carolina, only 30 miles to the Tennessee border.

3. Meeting us at an airport near you. We can fly the puppy to an airport near you, for a fee, as long as it's a direct flight. Some restrictions may apply.

4. Using a Pet Travel Nanny to fly your puppy to you. This is a third-party type of thing. You’d find a Pet Nanny and coordinate with them, and us, to match up schedules and have them chaperone your sweet bundle of joy to your house/nearby airport. Be sure to research, read reviews, and ask for references before choosing a pet nanny service.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have questions about getting your puppy home. Also, be sure to read our blog post with tons of tips on traveling with a puppy!

Pet Travel Nanny

A pet travel nanny can provide peace of mind and convenience when bringing home your new puppy. It can also be a little scary because you’re trusting someone else with the care of your puppy. It’s a big deal! So, take your time researching different pet nanny services. Read reviews, speak with them, ask for references. Be sure all parties are clear on terms and schedule. Once the puppy leaves our care and is in the possession of the pet nanny, they are responsible for getting your puppy to you. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Asheville or

 Tennessee Options

If you choose to stay awhile and enjoy the beauty of North Carolina and surrounding areas we invite you to visit our small farm and see how your puppies and their parents are raised.

Traveling to the pup's birthplace could mean you fly into either Asheville, North Carolina, or Knoxville, Tennessee, then rent a car to my home, or you can drive straight to my house. We take great pride in our pups and how they are raised for the first eight weeks of their lives. When you bring one of our Aussiedoodles into your home, we count you as friends, and we're happy to have you visit.

The Asheville Regional Airport is only 30 minutes away, while the McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville is 1 hour 20 minutes away. See below for an example of flights from various locations throughout the U.S. Note: This flight info was accurate at the time of posting. Please check your local carriers and resources to find current flights.

Benefits of Coming Here to NC

One idea is to make a vacation out of your trip here! It’d be super fun to come down two or more days early to experience some of the awesome nature, towns, and destinations around. Places like the Biltmore House, Cades Cove, Bryson City, or John C. Campbell Folk School. Here is a link with even more options. Make our farm one of your must-see destinations, of course, and go home with your precious puppy!

If you love the outdoors, music, fishing, food, art or exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway the options of adventure are limitless. Enjoy Western North Carolina

Us Flying to You

We now offer a service to bring your puppy to a major airport near you. (Some restrictions apply) As long as we are able to return the same day and no overnight lodging is required, we are more than happy to fly your puppy to you. This service is offered for an additional fee and is not included in the price of your puppy.

For example, for our Las Vegas and West Coast clients (we used to live right around Vegas, so it's still near to our hearts), we will fly puppies to Las Vegas for west coast pickups. Right now, there are direct flights from Asheville to Vegas, so it would only be a minimum fee for us to fly the pups west for your convenience.

We decided to start this service when a few of our clients mentioned that they were nervous about flying with a puppy for the first time. All of our clients have successfully had great flights bringing home their beautiful Mini Aussiedoodles home via air. We are very experienced in flying with puppies and are more than happy to make these accommodations for you.

Meeting at Airport

We are happy to meet you at the Asheville, North Carolina, or Knoxville, Tennessee airports. When puppies reach 8 weeks old, they are old enough to go home. That also means a few new pet parents may be headed our way at the same time. Depending on schedules, it’s possible we could have a pick-up party of sorts at the airport bringing more than one puppy to be picked up. How fun! We always like to take lots of pictures of puppy pick-ups, too!
